Pranjal is a CleanMax veteran, having joined the company right after graduating from IIT Madras in 2016. Over the past decade, he has worked across multiple functions, including business development, new initiatives, M&A, fundraising, project development, and HR. Today, he leads CleanMax’s Carbon Business, driving the company’s mission to contribute to a carbon-free world. His vision is to enable CleanMax to meet 1% of the world’s carbon removal needs.

Pranjal began his journey at CleanMax with the Business Development team in South India, where he played a key role in securing large PPA deals for the company’s early solar farms. He later led business development for Karnataka, CleanMax’s most significant revenue-generating region at the time, and was instrumental in monetizing the company’s first wind-solar hybrid projects. He then transitioned to the Managing Director’s office as Chief of Staff, working on strategic initiatives before launching CleanMax’s Carbon Business in 2023.

Through CleanMax’s Carbon Business, Pranjal is committed to scaling carbon removal solutions and accelerating the transition to a sustainable future.

Sandip has 17+ years of experience in portfolio management, consulting, auditing and business analysis in the areas of Climate Change Mitigation Projects, Sustainability Reporting, Carbon Advisory and Corporate Social Responsibility. He is a certified GRI professional & ISO 14001 Lead Auditor with expertise in Carbon Offset Methodologies, Carbon Accounting Frameworks, GHG Protocol and vast analytical and management skills and in-depth understanding in the present working domains. Further, he has extensively worked on various Sustainability and various ESG Reporting assignments (including DJSI, CDP among others) as well as Project Due Diligence and Risk Assessment for Merger & Acquisition Projects.

Starting as a GHG auditor with TUV India in his early days, Sandip has subsequently led the Carbon Offset Business at Adani Green and CLP India before joining CleanMax. He has completed his post-graduation in Energy Management from IISWBM, Kolkata and is presently pursuing a Masters in Climate Finance & Sustainability from IIT-Kanpur, India.

Sandip Saha

Mehul is the Investment Lead for Carbon Projects and Environmental Markets at CleanMax, where he spearheads investments into high-quality carbon projects and oversees the trading of carbon credits and International Renewable Energy Certificates (IRECs). His role involves identifying and evaluating impactful nature-based and energy transition projects, structuring investments through mechanisms like pre-purchase agreements and equity financing, and mobilizing capital to scale these initiatives.

He remains actively engaged with evolving regulatory frameworks, including Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, CORSIA, ICVCM, and VCMI, ensuring CleanMax’s market positioning aligns with the latest international climate policies.

Prior to CleanMax, Mehul worked at Trafigura as a Lead Analyst for Compliance Carbon Markets in APAC, where he built and managed supply-demand models for carbon markets in Australia and New Zealand, providing fundamental insights into regulatory schemes and market dynamics.

With a deep understanding of both compliance and voluntary carbon markets, Mehul plays a key role in advancing CleanMax’s sustainability ambitions and driving investments that create measurable climate impact.

Dhruv Jain is a seasoned business development professional with over 6 years of experience in structuring long term renewable energy solutions and projects for corporates. He has worked extensively with the likes of Apple, Meta, Google, Amazon and other leading Indian and Foreign corporates aiding their decarbonisation journeys by contracting 40+ RE projects to bring online over 1.5 GW of renewable energy capacity in India.

Having started as a business development manager in 2019 straight out of IIT Madras via CleanMax’s campus recruitment programme, he has served at various roles within the business development function and currently leads the Business Development and Corporate Partnerships for the Carbon Offset Business. Dhruv’s expertise with long term offtake solutions, co-investments, and risk mitigation through contracting help ensure that CleanMax is able to both identify and cater to the right corporate buyers (and their decarbonisation requirements).
